Updated October 2026. Tennis City SF › Tennis Courts in Pacific Heights & Japantown
Hamilton Rec Center at 1900 Geary Boulevard has 2 lighted tennis courts, both reservable on rec.us for $5 per court per hour, with 90-minute slots from 7:30am to a last start at 7:30pm. It is the only lighted tennis site in Pacific Heights.
Where the courts are
The rec center sits at Geary Boulevard and Steiner Street. Rec.us places the courts in the middle of the park and says to enter via Post Street or Geary Boulevard. The site also has a swimming pool, a gym with indoor pickleball, a playground and an athletic field, per Rec & Park.
Courts and booking
| Court | Release | Slots |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 7 days ahead at 8am | 90 minutes at 7:30am, 9am, 10:30am, noon, 1:30pm, 3pm, 4:30pm, 6pm and 7:30pm |
| 2 | 2 days ahead at noon | Same 90-minute slots as court 1 |
Rec & Park limits each person to 1 reservation a day and 3 a week, for individual play only. Unbooked courts are open for walk-up play, and a booking left empty 15 minutes after the start time becomes walk-up time. See how to book a tennis court.
When you play on an open court, the city’s walk-up rules apply: a 5-minute warm-up, one set or 30 minutes when others are waiting, and doubles when four or more are waiting. More in the walk-up courts guide.
