Updated October 2026. Tennis City SF › Tennis Courts in Mission
Mission Dolores Park has 6 public tennis courts with lights along the north side of the park near 18th Street. Courts 1 to 3 can be reserved on rec.us for $5 per court per hour, and courts 4 to 6 are free walk-up courts, first come, first served.
Where the courts are
The park is bounded by Church, Dolores, 18th and 20th Streets. Rec & Park lists the tennis address as 19th and Dolores Street; rec.us lists 3753 18th St and says the courts run along the north side of the park, so enter from the 18th Street side. The courts are unlocked.
Courts, booking and walk-up
| Court | How to play | Release | Slots |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 and 2 | Reservable | 7 days ahead at 8am | 90 minutes, 7:30am to the last start at 7:30pm |
| 3 | Reservable | 2 days ahead at noon | 60 minutes, on the hour |
| 4 to 6 | Walk-up | No booking | First come, first served |
Rec & Park limits each person to 1 reservation a day and 3 a week, for individual play only (no lessons, clinics, team practices or league matches). A reserved court left empty 15 minutes after the start time becomes walk-up time. See how to book a tennis court for accounts, cancellations and credits.
On the walk-up courts the posted city rules apply: a 5-minute warm-up, one set or 30 minutes when others are waiting, and doubles when four or more are waiting. More in the walk-up courts guide.
Hours, lights and restrooms
- Court hours: 7am to 9pm on rec.us. The park itself is open 6am to 10pm.
- Lights: yes. Dolores is the only Mission site with reservable courts, and courts 1 and 2 have a 7:30pm slot, so it is the place to book an evening match in the neighborhood. See all lighted courts.
- Restrooms: yes. Rec & Park lists restroom hours of 8am to 8pm in spring and summer and 8am to 5:30pm in fall and winter.
- Wall: no practice wall here. See hitting walls.
