Age discounts
- USTA membership: $42 a year for players 70 and over, compared with $44 for other adults.
- Goldman senior rate: $5 per court per hour for SF residents 65 and over ($8 non-resident), Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm. ID is required. Veterans get the same rate.
- One qualifying player is enough: Goldman applies the senior rate to the court if one player in the booking qualifies.
After 3pm and on weekends, Goldman charges its standard rates ($12 resident, $20 non-resident). Rec & Park courts are $5 per court per hour on rec.us at any age, and walk-up courts are free.
Weekday daytime classes at Goldman
Goldman’s winter 2027 adult classes (ages 16+, 8 weeks, from January 4) include several weekday daytime options:
- NTRP 3.0: Monday and Tuesday 11:30am to 12:50pm, 8 players per court, $336 resident / $370 non-resident.
- NTRP 3.5: Tuesday and Thursday 1 to 2:20pm, 5 players per court, $474 / $522.
- Live Ball & Doubles Strategy (NTRP 3.0+): late mornings on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Cardio Tennis: Monday, Thursday and Friday 1pm, and Wednesday 10:30am.
Drop-in round robins also run Monday noon to 1:20pm and Friday 1:30 to 2:50pm in fall 2026. See drop-in tennis.
Coming back after time off
If you are returning after years away, the four-week plan in returning to tennis covers rebuilding gradually, and NTRP ratings helps you pick a level before you self-rate for a league.
